It’s Janet’s 50th birthday. This year there will be more tension than usual because not only is she turning the big five oh… her whole family will be coming home to celebrate with her. Her sharp tongued mother, Florence; her younger sister, Charlene the ‘cougar’; her soft spoken niece, Angel, who has some big news to share; and of course her strong willed daughter who she never seems to see eye to eye with, Jessica, will all be in attendance. Her husband, Norman, will also be there of course and a visitor that no one expected who brings with him more conflict than Janet had anticipated. Will it be a HAPPY birthday or a CRAPPY birthday? Either way it’s sure to be a birthday to remember.

This hilarious musical comedy explores the many facets of the wonderful and sometimes-difficult relationships women have with each other. Celebrate with the amazing women in your life as you laugh together and discover the true yet complex beauty of Mothers and Daughters. A must-see for men too. Who knows… you might learn something.

We attended the opening by pure fluke. Found the show and purchased the tickets one hour before. Due to my broken ankle we ended up sitting in the first row. What a fantastic show! I have already recommended it to my Ottawa friends as a must see. Well written, amazing acting and excellent timing on jokes and songs.

    Congrats to all.

I went to see this yesterday afternoon, although I was a little hesitant as I didn’t know what to expect. Let me tell you I laughed so hard and I cried even harder. This cast was amazing together and would recommend this to anyone 🙂 Job well done!

Steve and company…..this production deserves to be remounted in a bigger theatre! It’s great and every but as Vegas/Mirvish/Broadway-worthy as Menopause, The Musical! Equally enjoyable for women AND men. They missed out!

Amazing show. Excellent singing and acting by the entire cast. This show is for more than mothers and daughters. I was one of a handful of men in the audience yesterday and I enjoyed it as much as anyone. Lots of laughs and messages. Bring it back so more people can see it.
