Leigh Bursey and Project Mantra have been performing across southeastern Ontario and other parts of Canada for well over a decade.  The folk/punk/hip hop/spoken word/alternative rock foursome will grace the stage for the first time at the Gladstone Theatre this Saturday, playing a mix of old and new material from their retrospective catalogue, this will make their first performance as a foursome since March 2020 in Kingston.


Leigh Bursey is 34 year old international best-selling author, residing in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.  A community organizer, a published poet, children’s author, rock music journalist, motivational speaker, and editorialist, Leigh is also a cable access television talk show host, and a mental health advocate.  Leigh is also a former homeless youth and a current municipal councillor.

The band featuring Mike “Just Mic” Paquin (bass and backing vocals), Morgan O’Dell (drums), and recent addition Connery Brown (lead guitars) has released three full length albums and is currently signed to Bursey’s label Recovery Records.  

The group has been featured on CBC Radio, Global Television, Yes FM out of Ogdensburg, New York, and on Live 88.5FM here in Ottawa.
