Who needs therapy when you have the theatre! Are we right?
The always noteworthy, crowd arousing, innuendo containing Carleton Engineering Musical
returns to the stage for the first time in 2 years at the Gladstone theatre.
This year, we are proud to present Something Aerotic, a fairly loose parody of the hit Broadway
show Something Rotten. Written, directed, and casted by sleep-deprived, coffee-addicted, and
generally emotional Engineering (and design) students.
Something Aerotic is sure to be the highlight of your weekend, or an excellent alternative from
worrying about upcoming academic finals or complex personal relationships.
Set in 2012, we follow a lack-luster civil engineer student named Nickie Top (not to be confused
with Nick Bottom) as he tries to climb the decrepit social ladder of Carleton Engineering while
feuding with his Shakespeare-esque arch-nemesis, the aerospace engineering student Will
Wiggledicke.
Along this intrepid adventure, our colourful cast of characters experience soaring romance,
crushing betrayal, awkward pauses, forgotten lines, and a rather omniscient janitor who cares a
little too much about the students in this school.
The C-Eng Musical guarantees that you will feel at least one emotion and leave the theatre
thinking “Mhm, yeah that sure was Something…. Aerotic!”
